- We’ll be Dancing in the Street on April 20 at the 2024 CHV Gala at St. Mark’s Church. The Gala Committee is planning a fun evening of music, dancing, trivia games, and more. Check out the plans and how you can get involved. See page 5 for more information and contacts.
- Music is good for the brain and body as members at the January Wellness Café learned. And, the Second Wind Chorus, coming off a winter hiatus, offers weekly opportunities to exercise your voice. See pages 1 and 6.
- The CHV Sidewalk Safety Team was in the news this month as Washington Post columnist Theresa Vargas explored the team’s work on sidewalk hazards. See pages 1 and 2. Plus, if you are injured in a fall on a sidewalk, see what to do after on page 2.
- There are lots of reasons for sidewalk falls, and CHV addresses one of them with a new program “A Matter of Balance,” designed to reduce fear of falling and increase activity levels. See pages 1 and 2.
