Online Credit Card Donation

Make a secure online donation using credit card or bank transfer. Choose a one-time gift or set up recurring monthly support.

Qualified Charitable Distributions

To make a Qualified Charitable Distribution to Capitol Hill Village, contact your broker, financial advisor, or custodian, who will provide you with the required form.

The donation is made directly from your account custodian to Capitol Hill Village and needs to be deposited by CHV before the end of the year.

Material Donations

Capitol Hill Village typically requests material donations for occasional events, like an auction, or when a member of one of the DC Villages has a specific need.

If you have an item or items that you believe would be useful for an older adult, you’re welcome to call us and inquire about the need. Please do not drop off items without contacting us first.

Stock Donations

Instruct your broker to deliver the stock shares to: The National Capital Financial Group Pershing LLC (DTC # 0443) Account Name: Capitol Hill Village Endowment Trust Account Number: A3F764248

Please note that while you are donating the stock to the endowment fund account, Capitol Hill Village can transfer funds from there to other CHV programs, depending on how you designate your gift.

Mutual Fund Donations

Contact Lois Mastel at the National Capital Financial Group at 202-546-9310 for instructions.

Please note that every mutual fund transfer differs, depending on where the funds are held-and that it can take up to 2-3 weeks for the mutual fund transfer to be completed.

Donate Your Vehicle

In April 2026 CHV established the Sylvia and Bill Peterson CHV Vehicle Donation Program.

You can donate your vehicle to CHV online or via phone. Donating is easy, the pick-up is free, and your gift is tax-deductible.
