Chartered by the CHV Board, the team includes the Board’s Advocacy Steering Committee and a larger Advocacy Corps (mobilized to research issues, lead advocacy campaigns, meet with stakeholders, etc.).  CHV and its Advocacy Team have become a trusted and respected voice in the City, working to address some of its most important challenges.

Adult Day Health Center With Memory Care

The Advocacy Team, in partnership with ANC 6B and Felice Development, has secured $225,000 to help plan, design, and fundraise for such a center to serve Ward 6 and surrounding  neighborhoods.

Support for Seniors

We continue to advocate for senior services in the city’s planning. We also continue to push for a strong stand-alone “senior strategy” addressing the needs of DC’s growing population of older adults.

Antiracism

In addressing our advocacy priorities, we strive to meet Capitol Hill Village’s equity and inclusion goals. Read more about them here: https://capitolhillvillage.org/antiracism/
