Giant Food's own grocery delivery program. Buy groceries online and get them delivered to your door. Requirements: $60 Minimum order applies. Email needed for login. Note: due to overwhelming increase in orders, please plan two weeks ahead for your grocery needs. Slots for delivery open up about two weeks in advance.
The first hour of shopping each Wednesday is reserved for vulnerable guests – including the elderly and those with underlying health concerns.

Costco Wholesale at the Shops at Dakota Crossing, 2441 Market St NE, Washington, DC, 20018 is opening early for seniors some mornings at 8:00 AM till 9:00 AM for Seniors only. COSTCO also offers delivery for members, more details here.
Harris Teeter is designating Thursdays from 9am to 2pm as ExpressLane Senior Day

Capital Area Foodbank is a useful resource for members who can't afford shelf-stable groceries.
Central Union Mission also continues to provide donations of food for low-income DC residents.
Instacart Buy groceries online from multiple stores and have them delivered in as little as one hour. Delivery fee applies; email or facebook account needed for login.
AmazonFresh/Whole Foods Market Amazon Fresh is a grocery delivery service available to Amazon Prime members in major cities throughout the United States and certain cities worldwide. Members receive free two-hour grocery delivery on Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods Market orders that meet the minimum purchase threshold.
Pharmacies and Delivery

Grubb's Pharmacy delivers M-F for an $8 fee. You can call them at 202-543-4400. Grubb's is also a compounding pharmacy if you have medications that are not available at a commercial level.
Capitol Hill Care Pharmacy delivers on the Hill M-F for free. (202) 548-0008

Safeway 202-398-6900 (Maryland Ave NE location) All Safeway locations will deliver with no added delivery fee. However, you need to come into the pharmacy so they can put your credit card on file (only used for the cost of the prescription if there is one; not for a delivery fee). They will call before they deliver it to make sure you still want the meds.
Tschiffely’s 202-429-4320 Delivers M-F to Capitol Hill area for an Approx. $8.00 delivery fee. This is also a compounding pharmacy.
At this time, the Village has been told Giant Pharmacy and Harris Teeter pharmacies are not offering delivery for medications.
Health Care at Home
Personal Care
Home healthcare or privately paid caregivers are paid hourly (usually in 4 hr minimums). Caregivers can aid with tasks like bathing, dressing, toileting, meal preparation, medication management. They can also do light housework (i.e. vacuuming, laundry, dishes, errands, etc.). and specifications can vary, but normally hover around $25/hour with the CHV membership discount.
