 LGBTQ folks of all ages are invited to Capitol Hill Village’s LGBTQ social hour! This month, we will connect to celebrate, discuss 2022 Pride, and reflect on pride experiences.

The DC Villages invite all to celebrate and support our LGBTQ residents. This event will feature speakers, instructional dancing, and a raffle for anyone wearing pride gear! We encourage all to donate throughout the month of June to Mary's House for Older Adults or provide physical donations to the Wanda Alston Foundation.

Rainbow Challah Tutorial and Discussion

All are welcome to attend this rainbow challah making tutorial and discussion. Challah is a type of bread traditionally baked to celebrate the Jewish sabbath. Attendees will be provided with the recipe and materials list in advance if they would like to make it at home. We will also engage in a discussion about food, identity, and community.

Come visit the AU Humanities Truck “Taking the Truck OUT!: Recording Lesbian Activism in the AIDS Crisis Exhibit". The Humanities Truck is mobile platform for “collecting, exhibiting, preserving, and expanding dialogue around the humanities.” Attendees will have the opportunity to view the exhibit and provide accounts of their experiences and involvement with activism and caregiving during the AIDS epidemic.

The truck will be at the CHV Office (1355 E Street SE, Washington DC 20003) on June 26th and 27th from 10am to 4pm. You can choose to stop by between 10am to 12pm, 12pm to 2pm, or 2pm to 4pm. This event will adhere to CDC guidance and pre-registration is suggested due to limited capacity.

Drag Show and Discussion Flyer

All are invited to join us on Sunday, June 6th at 2pm for a special drag show and discussion! This event will include performances by Pussy Noir and Blaq Dynamite followed by a conversation with them moderated by Devon Trotter.  $50 Uber Eats gift cards will be sent to a limited number of attendees to help folks enjoy the event.
