Pedestrians, Dockless Bikes and Scooters Sharing Urban Space!

Tuesday, June 12 at 2:00pm-3:30pm for 1.5 hours(signup deadline was 1 pm, Jun 12)
Northeast Library, 330 7th Street NE (near 7th & D). Accessible.

The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) just extended the close of its pilot program until the end of August. During this period, it seeks public input on how to manage and run the program, as well as on the experiences of residents. Now is the time for DDOT officials to hear about how the program can best be managed and what issues are important to residents, older adults in particular. DDOT has already heard extensively from the dockless bike companies themselves and many in the biking community. Speakers include Village members Mike Grace and James Kennedy, and Aaron Goldbeck, DDOT Bike Program Specialist, who works on the bikeshare pilot program and serves on the Age Friendly DC transportation committee along with CHV. See the March and June 2018 CHV Newsletter articles for background on this issue.
