Salon Dinner: Tea with Judith Viorst for Life Lessons from Under
Thursday, April 12 at 4 p.m. (signup deadline was 3 pm, Apr 10)
324 G Street, SE, Washington, DC 20002
The witty poems of Judith Viorst have carried some of us from It`s Hard to be Hip
Over Thirty and Other Tragedies of Married Life to Unexpectedly Eighty. Along the
way we laughed with our kids about Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good,
Very Bad Day. Come for a substantial tea and hear Viorst draw on her poetic ironies
as well as her thoughtful books about grownup marriages and necessary losses. Her
serious insights and her funny bone are all solidly based on her years of study and
research at the Washington Psychoanalytic Institute.
Hosts: Mary Procter and
Bill Matuszeski. $75 per place.
